These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the paus mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using paus, you agree to these Terms.

1. About paus

paus is a personal decision-support tool designed to help users make more mindful purchasing decisions. The app allows users to pause purchases, reflect on potential spending, track decisions, and set personal savings goals.

paus provides informational and behavioral tools only. It does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

By using paus, you represent that:

you will use the app in compliance with applicable laws

3. User Data and Content

You retain ownership of the information you enter into the app. However, by using the Service, you grant paus permission to store and process that data in order to operate the app.

4. Subscriptions

Some features of paus may require a premium subscription.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that:

payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store account settings.

paus does not handle payment information directly. All payments are processed by Apple.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

use the Service for unlawful purposes
attempt to interfere with the app’s functionality
attempt to access systems or data that do not belong to you
misuse the Service in ways that could harm other users or the platform

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if misuse is detected.

6. Financial Disclaimer

paus is not a financial advisor.

The information and tools provided in the app are intended for educational and self-reflection purposes only.

paus does not provide:

financial advice
investment advice
tax advice
professional financial planning

Users should make financial decisions based on their own judgment or consult a qualified financial professional.

7. Availability of the Service

We strive to keep paus available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The Service may be modified, updated, or temporarily unavailable due to:
